We are excited to announce that after a successful pilot of our Summer League in 2022 we are bringing it back this year! Where we will be offering our player centered 4 week ASC Summer League. This will be organized and led by our Director of Coaching, Paige Forster and her staff who will be responsible for player safety, league coordination, team formation and overseeing each game.
Our Program Philosophy: This summer league will provide an alternative environment to our organized Spring and Fall leagues. The format creates a relaxed, no-pressure environment without worrying about team status, individual status or coach/parent pressure. The hope is that this gives players opportunities to further develop technical, social and communication skills. As well as just being part of a fun playing environment.
Players are able to experiment and learn from mistakes (and successes) and not be afraid to try new things when there is no one “teaching” them. There will be no coaching but each field will be staffed for organization and safety purposes. Without coaches, players will learn to communicate with each other on and off the field.This helps with awareness, understanding of the game and learning to think and problem solve. Despite this being a league, results are not recorded.
Teams are not pre-formed, all teams will be picked on the day at the field and will change week to week. This provides an opportunity for players to play with and against different teams and players, it provides different challenges and it allows players to develop their soccer social needs. To note, Coach Paige will carefully select players at random to allow for a competitive team game.

Player eligibility: To participate in the ASC Summer League, you MUST have been registered to play in the Fall 2022 and/or the Spring 2023 Arlington Soccer Club season. This is for insurance purposes and is non negotiable.
Program Fee: $50 per player (players who were eligible for a fee waiver during the Fall or/and Spring season will be waived for this program but you must reach out to our registrar at: registrar@arlingtonsoccerclub.com to confirm)
Summer Schedule:The league will run over 4 weeks. Each player will play 1 night per week. Games are 50 minutes lo ng (25 minutes each half, with a 5 minute half time break)
Start Date: Tuesday 11th July – End Date: Tuesday 1st August
Girls Grade 3&4 – 5:00pm-6:00pm
Boys Grade 3&4 – 6:15pm- 7:15pm
Start Date: Wednesday 12th July – End Date: Wednesday 2nd August
Girls Grade 5&6 – 5:00pm-6:00pm
Boys Grade 5&6 – 6:15pm- 7:15pm
Start Date: Thursday 13th July – End Date: Thursday 3rd August
Girls Grade 7&8 – 5:00pm-6:00pm
Boys Grade 7&8 – 6:15pm-7:15pm
Please note if your child is aging out of 8th grade, they are still eligible to participate in the 7&8th grade group.
Further details on arrival time will be provided after players register. Please note the schedule is subject to change based on player registration. Example: If the number of players allows both boys and girls games to be played at the same time it will be combined into the 5pm-6pm time slot, however the days and age groups are final and will not change.
Player absence: We understand that you may not be able to make all 5 games of the summer league season. This is not a problem, you do not need to make us aware, you can still sign up and play but we will not be offering a prorated rate.
Player Uniforms: We will not be providing additional uniforms for this league as we wanted to keep the costs as low as possible. All players that have both their grey and maroon jersey we ask that you wear them (bring both). For any players that do not have those jerseys we will provide colored pinnies. Shin Guards and soccer cleats/shoes are mandatory.
